Philippines Dreamin’ 2026 Pt. 2: The Topics Driving Discussion

In part one of our series recapping Philippines Dreamin’ 2026, our attendees on the ground detailed the atmosphere within the conference and the community being built.

Now we’re going to dive into some of the biggest topics and talking points from the event.

Agentforce Vibes

Ariel Gacilo: All the sessions were strong, and the speakers delivered insights that sparked plenty of post-talk discussions among us. But the moment that really stayed with me was discovering the Agentforce Vibes extension. Seeing AI integrated directly into an IDE — where it can generate Apex classes, scaffold LWR components, suggest inline code, draft test cases, and connect straight to Salesforce sandboxes — immediately clicked with how I work as a developer.

What excites me most is how it reduces friction. Instead of breaking my focus to handle repetitive setup or context-switching, I can stay in the flow longer. It feels like having a smart co-pilot that keeps momentum going while I focus on architecture, logic, and refinement. I caught myself thinking about how much smoother certain past tasks would’ve been with this kind of support. It’s the kind of tool that doesn’t replace craftsmanship, but instead it sharpens it.

Leonil Laure: One of the highlights for me was learning more about Agentforce and how AI-driven solutions are shaping the way organizations operate, serve customers, and scale intelligently. The discussions around AI adoption were not only forward-looking but also practical, making it easy to connect innovation with real-world applications.

QAs’ Perspective on AI

Mark Alexis Buglosa: Like everyone else, I was blown away by how big the AI + agent conversation has become in Salesforce. A lot of the sessions were developer and admin heavy, focusing on automation, faster builds, smarter flows, and AI doing more of the heavy lifting. And I’ll be honest, as someone in QA, a small thought crossed my mind: With Agents doing more…where does that leave us?

But one message really stuck with me: People are not going to be replaced by agents. After sitting through the demos and talks, I realized that agents can build fast. Really fast. They can suggest logic, generate configurations, and assist with automation. But they don’t think about risk the way QA does. They don’t ask:

  • What happens in this edge case?

  • What if the data behaves differently in production?

  • Does this truly match the business intent?

They work on patterns while we work on possibilities. And if anything, the faster devs and admins can build using AI, the more important quality becomes. More automation means more moving parts which then means more things that can break if not properly validated.

For me, Dreamin’ 2026 wasn’t about “AI taking over.” It was about leveling up. QA isn’t going away. We’re just evolving from test executors to quality strategists; from bug finders to risk managers; and from late-stage testers to early collaborators.

The future isn’t human vs AI. It’s human + AI. And honestly? I’m excited for what that means for us in QA.

Regine Pagdanganan: Although Agentforce is new territory for me, being in those sessions made me think about it from a QA perspective.

If intelligent agents become more embedded in workflows, testing strategies will naturally evolve. It made me wonder:

  • How do we validate agent-driven interactions?

  • What does regression testing look like when behavior becomes more dynamic?

  • How do we ensure quality when systems become more adaptive?

CML

Joseph Tatel: One of the topics that stood out to me the most was CML, especially because it focuses on the new coding approach that Salesforce recently introduced. It’s always exciting to see how the platform continues to evolve. Sessions like this remind me that no matter your role, sponsor, attendee, or speaker, there’s always something new to learn.
